During this gala, business achievements were recognized and celebrated. The evening included dinner, networking opportunities, interactions with finalists, and the presentation of awards. The festivities commenced with cocktails at 5:00 PM, followed by supper at 6:30 PM, and culminated in the award presentations at 8:00 PM. The event took place at St. Mary’s Ukrainian Cultural Centre Yorkton.

The ECSIP’s inaugural business luncheon hosted business owners and employers to lunch with the goal of fostering collaboration and connection among their diverse workforce.
This event aligns with the Gender-Based Analysis Plus (GBA+) National Capacity Project, which aims to address systemic inequities and promote equity through an intersectional lens.
All sessions provided a fantastic opportunity for speakers to share their company experiences, strategies and efforts to create an inclusive and welcoming environment for all staff members.
Also recognizing the significance of offering appropriate support to employees, particularly in the context of equality versus equity.
Participants enjoyed valuable interactions during meaningful discussions, contributing to a more inclusive and equitable workplace environment.employee management in the work place.

ECSIP IAT members now holds meetings to discuss pertinent newcomer needs once every quarter by sharing 'lived experiences' to identify basic needs and barriers to easy settlement and integration in East Central Saskatchewan communities. To participate and lend a voice, please contact us @jumar@ecnwc.ca
The ECSIP meets once every quarter, usually after the IAT meeting. Resolution of identified newcomer needs and priorities is the mail goal of ECSIP. ECSIP wants to achieve this through discussions, leveraging on available community resources / and pointers in the direction of resources, thereby coming up with Strategic priorities and an action plan.

ECSIP Coordinator, was in Edmonton, Alberta in February 2023 for the PNT Summit organized by AAISA, SAISIA and IRCC.
Several attendees including SPOs & LIPs from various provinces were in attendance. The summit extensively covered all aspects of services to newcomers and immigrants integration ranging from empowerment, engagement, anti-racism framework for the settlement sector and more.
ECSIP was honoured to attend this year’s National Small Centre's conference which held in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island from May 30th to June 1st 2023.

Conference theme was ‘Welcoming Communities’ presentations centered around ‘Attraction and retention of immigrants in small Centre's, highlighting important topics such as employment, anti-racism and EDI, language, housing and transportation, child and youth, refugee settlement, health and wellness, and operational capacity.
